After creating the Pliego Chair , the next step was to design a table that would perfectly complement it. Following the same concept, we developed a metal structure based on folds that replicate the essence of the chair, achieving continuity in the design.
A design based on structural folds
To maintain visual and structural consistency with the chair, we decided to fold a metal plate so that the fold in the Pliego Chair 's backrest became the support for the Pliego Table 's top . Like the chair, the table rests on inclined metal profiles , giving it stability without losing its sense of lightness.
Design and manufacturing process
The development of the Pliego Table was a smooth and efficient process. Thanks to the simplicity of the design, we were able to avoid numerous prototypes before arriving at the final version, allowing us to optimize time and resources.
To enhance the user experience, we decided to incorporate a glass cover , which not only adds sophistication and refines the design aesthetic, but also reduces the noise generated when placing items on the metal surface.
