The Continua collection is born
When designing, the line is one of the most important elements. Whether as a starting point or the result of the concept, the initial drawing defines the essence of each design. At ANKA Taller , we conceive the line as that conceptual sketch in the sketchbook, which, without dimensions or materiality in its initial stage, lays the foundation for a creative and original design.
Under this philosophy, the Continua collection was born , and in particular, the Continua shelf , a piece that materializes the idea of structural continuity through an uninterrupted line.
The concept: a seamless stroke
The premise of this design is to achieve a structure that is perceived as a continuous line , that is, a shape that can be "drawn" without repeating any lines. Visually, the shelf is understood by starting from one of its corners with three vertices and following its structure in any direction, maintaining a geometric fluidity.
Materiality and structure
To give shape to this concept, we developed a metal structure that serves as both a base and support. Four wooden shelves rest on it , creating a contrast between the solidity of the structure and the warmth of the wood. Thus, the Continua Shelf combines stability and lightness, maintaining its minimalist and functional essence.
This design approach reflects our philosophy at ANKA Taller: experimenting with simple forms, exploring new ways of structuring space, and transforming a simple line into a tangible and meaningful object.
